Prominently featuring sounds described by the artiste as “futuristic”, the pop sounding ‘Asiko’ represents a total departure from Darey’s soft-toned vocal signature – a mutation undoubtedly influenced by maverick producer Jesse Jagz’s work on the track. Genre-hopping can often yields fascinating results, but is this transformation a little overdone? You be the judge of that.
