Single: Adaku – Or You Can

It’s not often that you hear a song that blows you away without being overtly explosive – pounding at the eardrums with enough sonic force to wake the dead. US-based singer/songwriter Adaku’s debut single, ‘Or You Can’, is a subtle soul music bomb that manages to do just that.

Driven by an acoustic guitar counterbalanced perfectly by Adaku’s airy, sultry vocals, this gem of a track is reminiscent of an Asa ballad and boldly original at the same time. The editors of YouTube must have been thinking similar thoughts when they spotlighted Adaku on the website’s Fresh Faces compilation for the month of June. You’ll want to play this back, over and over again.
